My Homepage

Hello, All! Welcome to my 6th Grade English Language Arts teacher website! This year, I plan to keep this updated with the materials and resources we are using in class, and in the event of inclimate weather, activities and lessons will be available here.

A little about my classroom...

The Classroom ‘DOs’:

1. Listen to your teacher and follow directions the first time.
2. Arrive to class on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
3. Ask permission before leaving the room.
4. Be kind no matter what.
5. Try new things and make mistakes, but always learn in the process.
6. Keep this room neat and orderly. Make sure to put things away if you have gotten them out.

My number one expectation for students is that they act in a way that supports Eastern P.R.I.D.E. - Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Dependable, and Encouraging

Composition notebook
1in. Binder
Loose leaf paper
Binder dividers (3)
Colored pencils and/or markers
Post-It Notes
Disinfectant wipes and tissues

Assignments and Late Work:

Students should turn in all work on time, but in the event something is not, the student will be allowed to turn in the work for reduced credit. For each day an assignment is missing, the total grade will be reduced by 10%. Students will have the opportunity to makeup late work in work room during their recess and at home.

If a student is absent and is missing work, they will have the same amount of time they were missing from school as additional time to get the assignment done. For example, if a student was absent for 3 days, they will have 3 extra days to complete the work.

I look forward to a great year of learning and growing! If you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to contact me via my school email, through the classroom Remind app, or by contacting the middle school office.
